    Hi,
    I recently backed up my music and photos so I could restore my hard drive. Now when I try to reinstall my files my pc doesn't recognise the files on my DVDs. Any Ideas Rusty

    you can't restore the files by dvd alone, the program you use to back up the files is the program you need to re install them. find the back up program you used and somewhere in that program there should be a restore program, then you must use in conjunction with the dvd to get those files back.
