Software ?

I have a vivitar digital camera I also have the cd that needs to copied to computer to transport photos/pictures to hard drive.

I have tried several times to copy the Vivitar experience image manager to my computer-On one occasion it said "could not find installer" today it said "failed to launch". Trying to connect with company takes many days.
It seems to me that I saw on programs something called Installer would this of some help and if so where might find it??

Yes the 'Installer' will install the software on your computer. When you start the CD in your computer it should ask you if you want to install the software, it may show up as a file called 'setup.exe'
Let us know what the exact name and model of the camera is, and what your Operating System is, eg Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 10

 

The camera is a Vivitar Model S829. I have Windows 10- 64 bit

I have tried several times to download the program. It will load but not install.

I got this reply on one attempt: Failed to launch. Could not download the installer

I got this reply on another attemp: Smart screen would not allow installation How would i delete smart screen if possible.

I probably should have not have installed windows 10

It seems to me that I remember seeing a download installer in my programs, so I wonder if it is needed.

 

First of all, when 'smart screen' blocks it, you click on the left side word 'MORE' and click on 'run anyway'.
You may have to use 'Windows Compatibility' mode to get it to run in Win10.
