Hi all ok not the richest of people so i brought myself the Geforce 6200 recently and it has been running fine
for some reason i am getting a large amount of blue flickers going though the screen when i play games now these are not high end games
Games such as WOW crash day nfs most wanted i have got the latest forceware drivers and have reinstalled my PC (has been awhile though it couldn't hurt)

sounds like artifacts which is usually a result of a bad overclock on your video card. Im guessing its not overclocked? Download ATItool and scan for artifacts. If you get errors and you havent overclocked it at all, its a bad card and should be replaced if its under warranty

Ok running the ATITool having no errors coming up although the blue flickers are getting worse and now the whole screen goes messed up when playing games could this be a heat problem as my PC is on 24/7 although i turn screen off when not using it

I have noticed greatly improved performance in my card (a PNY GeForce 6200) by making a trip to staples. For about $30 I bought 2 Antec (34 CFM) case fans and an Antec "Cyclone Blower" to cool my GPU. My temperatures on my card went from 47-49 C idle and 53-56 C plus under full load down to 32-33 C idle and 44C under full load.

Don't know if this might help you out a bit, but it made things easier for me. Even if you do have to replace your card the extra cooling helps out a lot.

(Don't forget to remove dust from the fans on your power supply and heat sink fan as well. This has caused me many problems in the past.)

Sounds like you have a defective card (if it's not overclocked) or it's overheating very badly. Try and return it for a new one if you can, and make sure you have at least a fan in the front of the computer for intake and a fan in the rear for an exhaust. Shattered.likeness's post offers some good suggestions as well.
