some key benifets that tablets/smartphones provide for a Field marketing Agency?

I have been asked to do a presentation on the above topic. although it isn't a hard topic and i have some ideas but i wanted to ask the question here in case some people working as a field agent could provide me with some information based on practical experience. i would also appreciate it very much if you could mention some examples of apps that are used to achieve these functions.

Marketing is a weird field and I wish you look with that as I trained as a graphic designed in my young days, now I'm in medical analysis.

I think what you need to do is think what is a tablet used for and portability is key to this, so is being able to email , so connectivity with all users is done. Then you have with most tablets/smartphones the ability to deal with office documents, so cloud based office usability is catered for.

Depends on what smartphones you use, Apple/Android great for general stuff and they are great for new users to smartphones, but when you get to business applications the Windows Phones are king TBH, they can deal with Exchange Server and Office 2010 and 2013 are built into them as in the core apps in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.

Smartphones and Tablets are the new workstation IMHO, I would not be without mine an I use Windows 8 and WP8 and Exchange 2013 and Outlook 2013 now, just as we are always current where I am in work.

You can find Open Source apps that cat do some of the functions BIG business needs for Office apps and Email connectivity
