    hi all,
last week my sound on the pc was working fine, this morning the sound only works if im watching a film, listening to music etc but wont work when I start Windows, (start up tune) or when I change pages it usually makes that clicking noise, but not anymore. ive checked my audio devices to make sure i hadnt accidently clicked 'mute'. I did notice in device manager that there is a yellow ! on my media/audio. when i right click onto it and go into properties and try and rollback the driver it says it cant rollback as no drivers are installed. I dont know what to do now, It advices me to download the drivers via the internet, but i dont know what or if there is a sound card or motherboard make. how can i get the sound on Win XP back, as i can listen to music and films, but there are no more warning alerts, start up/log off tune.

Ive tried to re-install the drivers but the pc cant find it, the sound device is "creative sound blaster PC1 {ES1371, ES1373, WDM}"
I did get a cd audio + video driver with the pc (a copy) but there are that many folders in there I dont know which one to go into and i dont want to be opening files i dont understand incase I mess my pc up more.

Did you try system restore and set it back to a point when your sound card worked fine?
