something similar to NORTON UTILITIES?

I'm looking for a program similar to NORTON UTILITIES / SYSTEMWORKS...but without the anti-virus and anti-spamware. Reason is Norton Anti-virus 2005 messed up my system, conflicted with MS Office 2003, so I installed PC-Cillin, which is working fine. BUT I find many of the features in Norton Utilities to be extremely useful, and want to know if there is a similar product..for the cleaning, optimizing, permanent removing, etc. OR, if it is possible to install Norton Systemworks and PC-Cillin, but to uncheck (therefore hopefully not actually installing) the anti-virus and anti-spamware parts of norton. Would the norton/symantec main framework of the software still cause problems?

No one is going to be able to tell you with any certainty if the other parts of Norton will cause problems or not.

All you can do is try, but create a Restore Point if you have that option and a backup first.

In my version of SystemWorks you can select which module/s of the package to install.

If you don't want to use Norton or it causes conflicts, there are plenty of great programs that do a similar thing such as SystemSuite etc.
