You have hours of work ahead of you, if you have no valuable data, I am a fan of formatting in many cases and making sure on the fresh install your more prepared with anti-virus, firewalls, SpywareBlaster, optional browser like Firefox, etc.

 

Sounds like it is possibly just a broken LSP chain to me MA.

You will need to download LSP - Fix and get it on to this PC.

Assuming the NEWDOT~1.DLL name is the correct name. The procedure below should help.

Now run LSP-Fix.

Check the Box labeled "I know what I'm doing" and then click on the NEWDOT~1.DLL file (in the “Keep” section) to select it.

Then, Select the >> button to move NEWDOT~1.DLL into the Remove section.

Now, click the Finish Button. When the Repair Summary box appears, click OK.
After doing that you should run the procedures in, READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal in order to make sure you are clean.
