My son graduates with honors today, proud dad here. Great achievement on his part, knowing how hard it is on children with military parents and having to move every 3 to 4 years. He has been real lucky, in that I have managed to keep him in the same school district for the last 8 years; somehow I managed to get back-to-back assignments, different commands same installation.

Congrats to both your son and the proud parents :)

He going the millitary route for a career or a different one?

Off to college this fall, then a career in Law Enforcement. He wants to join the FBI eventually. The military option is open, but he wants to continue his education first.

IMHO, those who pursue careers in law enforcement take far greater risks on a daily basis, then I did in my 24-year career in the Army.

I think it's ridiculous that these sports players get paid more then those who serve our country!

Lord knows, I've made plenty of mistakes raising my son and both my daughters for that matter; but all-in-all he has turned out nicely. Unlike some parents, I take an active interest in what my children are learning, doing, where their at and who their with.

Parents aren't perfect but we try to do whats best for our kids, too bad there are some that don't take enough interest in what's going on with their kids lives....some of these kids today are outright scary!
    You get an A-plus! :)

Again, thank you to everyone. Balancing family with career is difficult at best, most of us hope that we are doing the right things by our children; and then hope and pray we made the right decisions. Only time will tell. So far, things look good.
