sony dvd drive problems

i have a sony dvd/rw d56a, any time i try to burn anything with windows or sonic dla and everytime it pops up an error saying error trying to copy files and when i hit retry it just keeps up the same thing, i uninstalled and updated the drive and still no luck, i recovered the computer 2 days ago and it fixed my original sound problem but now there is this and i have ran all the malware prevention with nothing found, any help would be appreciated

 

Have you tried booting to Safe Mode (not strictly necessary but recommended) and going to the device manager and deleting the DVD drive. Reboot and allow Windows to redetect the drive as this recovers from failures such as yours in a lot of cases.
