Unfortunately Sony has ended it's official support for old hardware and the drivers can no longer be obtained on their official website. I wish I had downloaded all the drivers for my old hardware before they were no longer supported.

Notice on the withdrawal of drivers and software for Windows® 7 and older unsupported operating systems - July 7th 2020

I was wondering if there was any way to safely obtain the correct drivers without obtaining any malware or viruses? I cannot trust random driver utilities. I wonder if Sony themselves would still store them somewhere, or delete them forever - which seems sad and a waste.

Another question. If I was to try buy a hard drive (HDD) or a solid state drive (SSD) for this old Windows XP laptop, what HDD/SSD would be compatible? Where should I buy it from?

This has been my make and model of laptop growing up throughout the early 2000s, many fond memories of playing Theme Hospital, Empire Earth, Joint Operations, browsing the internet, etc. So restoration would be fantastic for me!

Update: I found the Windows XP 32-bit drivers on an old USB. Just need a working HDD or SSD I can put inside the laptop. :) Any suggestions?
