sound card help needed

just bought a 5.1 surround sound card model number cm18738 the card works ok however when i come to shut down the pc it reboots instead of shutting down if i remove the card everything goes back to normal any ideas?

 

Try getting latest drivers off the website.

no seriously though ive tried the latest drivers ive tried putting it in another pci slot, ive disabled the onboard sound on the pc and in the bios,but still no luck

Erm have you looked for any compatability issues with your system.

can you put your pc specs up like i have on my signature.

ive looked in the device manager for any conflicts there are none my pc spec is as follows

Processor: 2.4 celeron
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 6600GT
hard drive :330 gig
Operating System: XP Home Edition - Service Pack 2

sorry i cba going into google but what company is your sound card cm8738-6ch means nothing to me.

But tick at it someone more helpfull is bound to tell you what to do.
