sound card problem:(

hi there i am new here and here is my problem nice intro)
a too short cable and a too noisy ventilator and then my 3.5mm audio jack got bent and in the process destroyed partially my mobo audio port.
after a series of diagnostic i can tell with certainty that the audio output port is broken, since i can receive only one signal (the left channel signal).
and my response to that problem was first to do some manual intervention,and now i have two speakers running with the same signal.
after that, to listen to music i had to convert them to mono since doing that entangled the two channels signals into one .

i searched the net for a winamp's plugin (since i prefer it for it's huge variety of plugins) that will do the stereo->mono conversion on the fly or maybe a windows application that will do it for all the audio routines, but to not avail.
since i found a dx-plugin that can do it but only for v-host guitar apps, i can presume that it is technically possible.
some trick to change one of the two intput ports (line-in or microphone) into an output port or some method or schematics that will let me have stereo with the help of other ports would be appreciated.
a radically different solution is welcome
btw, my mobo is a p4sdr-vm with the 1008a bios revision and i don't have enough money to spend on a new audio card

 

OK, so this is a non issue. As long as you have one open pci slot, go out and purchase a standalone sound card, anyone will be better then your onboard sound. for $10.00 you can get a nice used Sound blaster live card. Then all of the plugins will be fine again, and your sound will have depth again. Seriously it is so easy to do there is no reason not to fix the problem instead of patching it to death.
