I want to use 2 sound cards in my p.c, 1 is the onboard realtec ac97 and the other is an external 24 bit creative live.

I want to use the onboard for a set of 2.1 speakers and the creative external for a set of 5.1 speakers.

1.will i have issues with drivers if i have 2 sound cards installed?

2.Will i be able to switch between witch soundcard i'm using for the output?
    i.e switch between 2.1 and 5.1

    Thank you.

Do you think i could put a splitter into the external for both sets of speakers?
