sound card

    hi i have just bought a new sound card but it don't seem to like my computer its a multi channel pci sound card made bysumE vision (bought from e-bay)
    anyhow when i fit it i cannot get any sound and if i reboot i get a message out of range i have onboard sound at the moment ac97 there is also a message about ati any one in here able to help

    You need to disable your onboard sound for the PCI card to work. You disable the onboard sound via the BIOS. Once you do this, make sure you install the latest drivers for the sound card.
