sound card

hey guys, i've actually been having this problem for a while and am just getting around to it now. my speakers are not working and i don't know the reason. my sound card is enabled and installed correctly, but it keeps trying to channel all my sound through my sub. if i turn my speakers up, the sub just gets louder and nothing ever comes out of the speakers, i have no idea what to do, any help would be great, thanks in advance

Here's a silly idea ,have you tried new speakers? Do you have ear phones? do they work? I had the same problem and it was just my speakers had messed up. Are yours new?

 

If you have a sound card, and have more then two speakers.Have you set your sound program to how many speakers you have . also check the plugs to make sure there in the proper spots.. To set mine I go to control Panel ,Audio HQ ,Speakers then I set to 5.1 system.It depends on the card you have . Hope this helps some Chuck
