I recently installed windows xp sp3 on my eeepc 2g surf notebook.... (which was linux before)
all went smoothly and all of the drivers installed fine, until i got to the audio part.

Audio device on high definition audio bus with yellow ! and i cant hear a thing, open up volume controls and its like i just dont have speakers. I try to 'update driver' and it says i never installed one, i can disable it, but then i cannot uninstall it. it says ' the device may be required to boot the computer'

I have taken them off of my control panel and re installed drivers.
I've put in audio and patches from microsoft
Ive .... done just about everything i could find out there to try!

    aaand i got nothin :/

All the windows XP drivers for the hardware on your eeepc are on one of the two CDs that come with a 2G surf. Attach a CD player to the left USB port, put the CD in that has the XP drivers and point the hardware install wizard to the CD.
