Sound File Formats

Hi Geeks. Running XP XPro, I have some MP3 files and I am using Outlook web tools that take only .wav, .au, etc. How do I change these MP3 files to one that would be supported. I cant just change extensions of course. But is there a way to make an MP3 file a wav file? Thanks

 

I use dbPoweramp for my mp3 files. Never had any problems and easy to use.

Do you have Winamp? you could use the diskwriter plugin, which is under preferences plugins output. Set it up so that the output file is a .wav and you know where it goes.

 

CDex. Amazing program. Generally used for ripping CDs direct to compressed audio, but it can also convert mp3s to wav if you want.

There also this site which is dedicated to the kind of software you want. They're all shareware, however, so they might not be fully functional like CDex.

 

Hey Da Chicken, I like CDEX so far and if it continues to run great without any other registry problems I will contribute to the site. It converted my MP3's niceley and I can specify folders. Have yet to try ripping features. So(und) far so(und) good.
