sound from the PC

    when i switch ON the Pc.............i get a sound continuously for a minute....
    why is it so??? anything wrong with my computer....

    What OS are you using? [XP/Vista]

    What type of sound?

    Is it precisely a minute the sound lasts for?

    Have you made any changes recently?

    Is ther any other issues apart from the sound?

    OS: XP
    when i switch on the PC, i am getting this sound....
    then after sometime it stops...........

    It sounds like the sound that comes from a table fan...

    Hi


    Its very likely that one of your case fans, or CPU fan or chipset fan if the motherboard in question has one is starting to fail, they do make this noise at boot then at times settle.

    Check to see if if they are full of dust and clean them out or replace.
