sound icon missing from taskbar

    just done a defrag using ashampoo and just noticed that my sound icon has disapeared , iam using xp with service pack 3 can someone help me get it back please , thanks

    i have already tried that dom , but its not there , any other ideas m8

    Open Control Panel and click on Sounds and Multimedia. If show volume icon on the taskbar is checked, uncheck it. Reboot and go back into Control Panel and check show icon on taskbar and see if it appears.
