Sound is Messed up...

I have headphones in which i can only hear in one ear.
Have tried other headphones and the same problem occured.
But when i plug in my Speakers i hear both of them with only a small difference in volume. The left speaker which works with my headphones is the louder one.
This is driving me nuts since i listen to a lot of music on my computer.
Windows XP Pro
1GB RAM
Realtek AC97 Audio

Put the head phones on & start up some music. While listening to it giggle / turn / move the head phone cable coming out of the back of the PC.

Notice any change?

 

Could just be that the headphones are broken

 

When you go into your volume control is your volume balanced?

Are you using the headphone jack?

The speakers should be plugged into the lineout jack (typically green in color for typical stereo).

 

All that anger over nothing.
My case has 2 jacks on the front MIC and SOUND.
The case is modified so i had to push in the jack at the back to fix the one from the front.
