I went through the "read and run me first malware removal guide" to get rid of some nasty spyware. It seems like everything is running smooth. The only problem I have is my sound. I have no sound at all. I tried uninstalling everything that had a yellow exclamation mark under sound, video and game controllers and rebooted my computer but it still didn't work. Actually I have some different things under the sound, video and game controllers now that I didn't have before the uninstall and reboot. This Microsoft Kernal stuff replaced some stuff that was there before the uninstall and reboot.
    Please Help!

Under Sound, Video and Game Controllers:

    Microsoft Kernal Acoustic Echo Canceller
    Microsoft Kernal Audio Spiltter
    Microsoft Kernal DLS Synthesizer

The easiest way would be go to Dell.com support http://support.dell.com/support/index.aspx?~ck=pn >Downloads and Drivers and use the enter Service Tag option.

This will give you the exact drivers for your computer, if there are more than one under Sound post back with your service tag number and we'll have a look to figure out which is best choice.

Hey I did what you said I downloaded and installed the driver and it still gives me that same error.

BTW my computer doesn't let me system restore. If I try to do it it will start and get like 75% through only to restart and say restoration incomplete. I don't know what to do.

    What error are you getting?

In Device Manager--Do you have any yellow marks?
