This is really weird, what I did was today I bought a CO2 air cleaner because I know the inside of my computer is really dirty. Well I opened it up and blowed it all out. and then after I put it all back together and everything the sound doesent work at all! I doubt its a software problem.. and Its not the speakers, everything else works fine. I hope it wasent ESD, I wasent useing a wrist strap like i should have been, and I was working on carpet. im so stupid.

anyone have any ideas what might have happened?

    thanks

Yes as Sabrenx said systems spec are a must. it coud be something as simple as if you had a sound card and it came loose, or it could be sometrhing else. When something works and you have work with or cleaned said system you have to use the process of elimination.
