sound not working in certain progys

    sound not working in certain progys. cooledit pro2 can record and play back sound but youtube, or anything on the internet or normal clicking sounds are not there.

    Open Internet Explorer > then open Tools from the IE top menu> then open Internet Options > then open Advanced

    and open Multimedia

    Make sure there IS a checkmark IN "Play sounds in webpages"


    Do you hear music, for example from a CD or other media file which is not on the Internet, that is, from a flash drive, MP3 player, etc?

    What other media players have you got installed, Windows Media, any others recently?
