HI, i dont know when this started but all my windows media players when it plays a video the video moves very fast but the sound remains the same. I can't find the correct setting to change this, can somebody please help?

and when i rightclick the video on the website i cannot click the changes speed setting.

and im not even sure if the video is playing faster or just not in synch with the sound

ok im confused...your title says the sound goes faster but your post says the video goes faster....if its the sound that goes faster then it sounds like the video is lagging behind and could be a video card problem. if its old and onboard then its most likely not able to handle the modern videos online.

you can't do anything, not at all surely, but it's very diffucult to synchronize video and sound. you will have to use special progs, first of all you need to split video and sound streams, if it's lagging equally you will need just to move sound stream for some seconds, but if it's not the problem is not solvable. i'd recomend to read some articles on video encoding and authoring.

i am sure it is not lagging. the only problem i see is the speed of the video seems to be moving at double or triple the correct speed. if i can just use a program to slow down the video? would that work? does anybody have suggestions.

Im going to hazzard a guess that you are watching a video thats a file that has been ripped form a DVD or recorded from somewhere ?

This sometimes happens if its been ripped badly . It could also be a codec issue, you may not have the corect codec installed and its trying to use a differnt one.

well it was from spiked humor. a video about throw vanishing? i really wanted to know how to do it but it kept doing that. okay if nobody has a solution i guess i will give up =[

wait i have something, what if you convert it so powerdvd can read it? because there is an option on powerdvd that can slow video down.
