I got a new pc for christmas, the motherboard is an ECS p4m800pro-m(v1.0a)
It says I have realtek onboard soundcard ac97 codec alc655...I installed the latest driver for it and my sound still doesn't work, everything is connected, all devices are enabled, but it still will not work...any advice would be appreciated.
    thanks

    Hi
Try Installing Netframework If You Have A ATI Graphic Card Installed

I Have Had Issues With The Same Problem

    CCRC

I had this problem with ECS boards too. What i did was just fresh installed or reinstalled(Upgraded) windows.

You can also go into bios and turn on/off the sounds settings. Its labeled AC'97 somewhere in bios in the advanced settings or devices settings. Anyway, play around with it and usually the sound should oddly return.

    Good Luck!!
