sound problem

    I went to Staples and bought a Altec Lansing BR1120 model speakers. I plugged them into the computer but it doesn't recognize them. I went to hardware in device manager and I have a problem with multimedia audio controller.

    What is wrong?

    Did you have sound before you bought the speakers? Sounds as if your audio drivers are not installed. Post the make and model number of your pc. ed
