I seem to have lost my system sounds. I can play music just fine and game sound seems to work ok too. I can not however hear sounds in my browser and windows sounds. I installed an updated version of my realtek driver. I ran DirectX Diagnostics and hear no sound at the test. I also tested for sound in widows sound scheme and no sound. Im not sure exactly when it went wrong but I did buy a game recently in which the sound does not work. Not too sure if the game is the cause or effect. Any ideas anyone?

It says the device is working properly and there are no conflicts.

Making adjustment in the sound control doesn't do anything? (right click volume icon ...check both adjust audio properties and adjust volume controls):)

So if you go to a site that has a video ...no sound (their controls for sound on the video panel are all the way up?)

Well I went out and bought a Sound Blaster Audigy 4 sound card...problem solved! I guess one should treat onboard sound like onboard video. It may work but a stand-alone card is so much better!
