SOUND problems

my mobo is K7N2 Delta-L (Site is http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=436 )
that means i have Realtek ALC650.

when i play video or game or mp3s the sound gets trashy, distorted, or echoing sometimes

it didn't do this before though, 5-6 days ago i noticed this change

any suggestions are welcome!

yes i did, i've recently added a pci IDE device (a device that connects to hard disks)
