Sound stops workimg, then comes back after reboot.

    Hello, after an hour or so of using my PC, the sound stops working. Then starts again after I reboot, then a little while later stops again. I have updated drivers for my motherboard. I am attaching an Everest report for my computer which is a home build. It's worked fine for a couple of years then suddenly started doing this... I reformatted a month or so ago, but this didn't happen until a day or so ago.

    Hey thanks for responding...just so I understand, the yamaha ds-xg is the driver for my PCI sound card, and the VIA AC'97 is the onboard audio, is that right. I have on board sound disabled in the bios.

    The problem happened before I disable on board sound...and after I did it. :( Do I set the Yamaha as default audio in the bios?
