Sound suddenly stopped working

    Hi, all. I was listening to youtube music late last night for a while, and all was fine. When I woke this morning and tried to play music, no sound. I checked that my speakers and sound card are working properly..and they are, but I noticed the Windows test sounds are not working (asterisk, etc). I am completely befuddled! Any help would be so appreciated! Thank you.

    OK..it's been resolved. Once I got the window sounds back via a mircosoft sound fixitm , I'm embarassed to say that I didn't check the slider on the youtube videos, probably because it was working fine last night. The slider was all the way down, which in turn resulted in no sound. Is there a blushing emoricon? LOL
