I'm going to try and explain this the best I can and I hope I don't confuse anyone!! I have 2 machines hooked up through a KVM, one machine has an SB Audigy ZS and the other has a SB Live card. The latter is used for gaming. The reason I went with a KVM, mainly, was because even though I could install my older games on the Win2000 machine (Audgiy) none of the DOS games would recognize that card. However, they do recognize the SB Live card (Win98SE). The MB I'm using on the Win2000 machine is a GA-7n400Pro2 (Revision 2) and it comes with a 'Realtek ALC 650/655 Audio AC'97 Codec' but has no gameport. Would the Realtek support my DOS games? I would have to leave the Audigy in simply so I could use my joystick. Is that possible? I tried switching cards, but the drivers for the SB Live card for Win2000 didn't come with a SB16 Emmulation that I need for my older games. If I could get that sound working in my Win2000 machine for my older games then I could do away with the KVM.
In all honesty, everything is running quite well the way it is but, like alot of people, I'm trying to make it even better if I can. However, I don't want to screw up anything in the process!!!! Any suggestions? THANKS!!!!!!
