Sounds too fast?

Sometimes I have no sound at all (but if I click on the volume icon I can get it back) but most of the time it sounds like my computer is infested by chipmonks!! It's really fast and I can't understand it. This happens if I'm playing games or just listening to music. Can anyone help? I hope I explained this right- I'm still kinda new at all this!!

 

Youll have to post the make of your soundcard and the drivers you are using.

 

Where do I find that information? I went to the control panel, under sounds, speech and audio devices- then sounds and audio devices- under sound and audio devices properties (hardware) it says" Lite-On Combo SOHC-5232K... is there a way to copy and paste that list cuz it's kinda long. Or can I find it somewhere else?
