    Hello

I recently installed SP2 on my computer, and immediately noticed that when I boot up SP2 uses 50 more megs of RAM. After installation of SP2 my comp was much slower. I tried turning off the firewall, pop up blocker, and even turned off the services in control panel. Still, this did not free up much of the RAM at all. I think I will pass on SP2. Anybody else notice this? I am using XP Professional.

What specifically is using more Ram?

You can check in processes, via Task Manager.

HMM.. good question. I already removed SP2 so now I can't tell! I am assuming it was the new features such as firewall, pop up blocker etc... but I turned those off. Any ideas?

because my computer was running alot slower after I installed it. I didn't just remove it I did a clean install of windows. I needed to do a clean install anyway because I hadn't done one in awhile. So I just reinstalled SP1. I like how my comp runs with SP1. No need for SP2.
