Sp3 is now available on Microsoft update

I want to say that You can download SP3 for XP thru Microsoft update.
I did it 5 minutes ago,so far only increasement I can see is that my internet connection is without delay,What I mean is before SP3,after XP boot I was wait for 1-1.5 minutes to find the network,NOW that is history.VERY FAST BOOT!!

 

I have just completed download from Microsoft site via Microsoft Update. Tool nearly an hour, but it should be well worth it.

 

I was able to download it, but it won't install!!!

 

ok.. question for thoes who have the new product downloaded - if running IE6, does this service pack autoupdate you with IE7? I couldn't find that info anywhere at microsoft...

However, SP3 does include Network Access Protection (NAP) to help organizations that use Windows XP to take advantage of new features in the Windows Server® 2008 operating system. nice! thanks! I dug around over half an hour and couldn't find that information.

 

Down loaded and installed Sp3 from MS update. Express option showed a dump of around 60Mb. Any way it was closer to half that??
Restarted and did a check if further updates were required, but found no critical updates required.
What happened to the expected 300-400mb dump?!
My computer properties shows Sp3 in sys info.

 

because it depends on the updates you already have installed.

 

SP3 failed on my machine as well..

tho I am haveing problems with .net, so I suspect that may be the reason. Still have not figured that out, and no help in my thread.. oh well..

Sorry to hear that. We are in good hands here, someone is bound to figure out what went wrong. What do you mean about problems with .net ?

 

.net is a supporting framework designed to allow programmers a bit easier time.
