Spam Control

The other day I stupidly entered my email address in a web site to obtain a coupon. Since then, I have become inundated with spam. What is the best way to block/control this garbage?

 

The BEST way?

Setting up a whitelist. This way, only addresses you approve can send messages to you.

How to implement something like this depends on your email client. What do you use?

 

I use BellSouth...It is just unbelievable how much of this stuff I'm now getting. Since I posted this thread maybe 10 minutes ago, I've received about 10 more.

Yes, BellSouth (now AT&T), is my ISP and I access my email thru a web broswer.

 

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure whether I access thru a browser or email client. I do have to go to my BellSouth home page to access it.

 

Okay, I have reviewed BellSouth's information on managing spam, and it appears you can create a blacklist (that is block addresses/domains), but that is hardly effective, as spammers spoof addresses. You may want to contact BellSouth to ask about setting up a whitelist.
