    Interesting stats, mostly countries where the government is more of a dictatorship and opportunities are slim for the lower-classes of their population.

    If you can afford an internet gateway, your one of the lucky ones whose opportunities increase......may they be legal or otherwise!

    The thing about the spam is I'd imagine that they are getting the stats through IP addresses and just from admining this forum for so long and trying to make sure spammers don't get registered, I don't think you can actually say that a spammer is from a certain country. They use proxy servers most of the time. A lot of foreign spammers will register with a proxy that is based in the US. For example, an IP based in San Jose, California is a huge red flag. There was another city a while back that was being used a lot...a weird one, like Kansas City or something like that. I can't remember. The three worst countries for us that I would say as far as spammers are India, Russia and Vietnam.

    I also would have thought India. But, at just over 4%, it's at no. 6.

    I doubt AV-TEST will divulge their exact methodology in determining the origin of spam.

    Email spammers and forum spam/attackers are quite different, I don't fret about anything listed by the various block lists when checking for potential forum spammers/attackers, they're almost completely irrelevant. CleanTalk and AbuseIPDB are much more useful.
