Spamfighter diasappears ???

Hi, following protracted (& ongoing) malware issues, I installed spamfighter, and am still in my free 30 day period. I like it. However, the toolbar often just disappears, which means incoming mail isn't being filtered. This happens even when I havent logged out of Outlook, just minimised and then returned to it. I have tried:

• closing outlook and restarting it
• start, programs, spamfighter, repair - it did a reinstall but still no toolbar.
• from outlook checked SF is not on the disabled items list

On the SF Help website it only advises checking the disabled items list. No doubt if I reboot the computer it'll reappear but I'm too busy to keep rebooting the computer all day.

Does anyone have any ideas?
[If so then please spell out what I have to do - am a major novice private junior league cadet.]
btw running XP sp2, Outlook 2002.

One of your security namely antispyware might have disabled this item. I can't be sure w/o knowing the list of security software. You could look at the logs. If possible, roll it back or put it on white list. Usually it's right-clicking the disabled item.

This is a very nifty program i use to enable/disable windows programs. Spamfighter should be checked in the Internet Explorer tab.

 

Many thanks akhilles, for your interest. I have AVG - everything's running all the time and the Spamfighter issue is only ocaasional - just now Outlook opened up fine with the SF tool bar present so maybe its just a blip.
