    Hey guys.
Was wandering if ya'll could give any suggestions here, as I'm kind of clueless as to what to do. My speakers have always worked well, they are Altec Lansing that I got with my Dell computer a couple of years ago. I wake up one morning and they don't work to normal capacity. I have to turn them all they way up to hear a little bit. I tried re-adjusting the system volume, nothing, tried taking cords out and put back again. Checked the fuse on the amplifier.

Do you think it is a spyware problem, or something with my driver?

    The help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Could well be the sound card driver... check with DELL for an update for your model PC and install the update or if not available re-install your current drivers.

Also check the sound controls in Control Panel > Sound & Audio Devices and make sure the Vol levels are not set low.

You might check the transformer that powers the speakers if they are powered, just a thought. ed
