I downloaded a program which makes my keystrokes sound like a mechanical typewriter. (http://www.grc.clickey.com) The program worked ok but after I deleted it, all audio from my speakers had a strong reverberation. Since there was no reverb problem before using the clickey program, I assume that that was the cause. What caused the reverb and how do I get rid of it? Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry you had problems with it. How did you uninstall it? And did you see this on the download page?

I'd check to see if that .dll is still in your system, remove it and reboot the computer.I think there's a decent chance the reverb is being caused by something left behind when you removed it.

I also read that the program hasn't been updated since 2005, but operating systems sure have; not sure I'd put something that old on something much newer.

    Greetings, victor aiello.

Strange symptoms. My first thought would be to reload any audio drivers in case some files were corrupted during the Clickey uninstall process. What's your operating system version and Service Pack # and make and model of your machine?

Edit: oops - sorry solaris89 - didn't see you lurking there!
