speaker suggestions

hey all. i think its about time to retire my creative 5.1 speakers. a couple of them are starting to have pretty good amounts of static and i frankly just want a louder system. anyways, i was hoping you could suggest some good ones.

requirements:

• 5.1 or 5 speakers with a sub (i have an old creative labs SB! live thats only 5.1 compatible, no 7.1 for me just yet )
• can get loud
• < $175

i was thinking something from logitech maybe?

 

If you have a surround amplifier with speakers just make your own cable(s) and connect the computer to the line-in on the amp. I've done that and now I have the loudest damn system ever
