spell check

Hello, I haven't been on any type of forum so this is really new for me.

I need help with my spell check - it checks in a foreign language. It wants to change all my words because it does not recognize them in English. I have Windows XP Home and Mircosoft Office 2007 installed on my PC.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Welcome to MG.

You need to set the default language. Under tools>Language>Set language then pick the language you want and then click on the default button. Then click Yes on the confirmation message.

That should be it.

Thank you, but there is no Language under tools in my Outlook Express - is it not all there?

You hadn't mentioned Outlook Express which isn't really part of Office. I'd assumed you were talking about Word. Outlook Express doesn't actually have a spell checker although it can use the spell checker In Office. So if you do what I'd suggested in Word then OE should use that spell checker.

 

Thanks again for your help. My MS Word Spellcheck is in English. When I use outlook Express it is in French. I went to Tools/options/spelling in my OLE the only language option is French. Should I download OLE 6 again or will that mess everything up.
