Spellchecker for firefox 1.5

where can i get a spellchecker for firefox 1.5.0.1?

 

The dictionaries are here but Im unsure if they work with 1.5, is it not built into the older versions?

I use 2.0.0.3 and the spellchecker is built in, if its not on 1.5 why dont you upgrade, its 5.7mb to download?

i upgraded to 2.0.0.1 and when i did i lost my bookmarks, all of my saved passwords, and to top it off i couldn't even bookmark pages.

Did you backup your firefox profile when you upgraded? If not, that's what the problem there was... IIRC, it should prompt you to import your bookmarks, but most else would have been lost.

You should backup your profile even if you have no plans of upgrading.

As for spellchecking, does the AspellFox extension meet your requirements?

IIRC, there are others as well, it would just take a browse of the extension list to find the right one for you.
