Spigot??

    hi all,

    i woke up this morning and turned my computer on then saw that my IE icon had been changed to something called spigot. i tried to do a system restore but it says it can't cause theres something wrong with my C drive.

    Any ideas?

    Don't believe I've ever seen this particular symptom...

    More info would be helpful: any other issues with the machine, operating system and service packs, antispyware and antivirus programs and the results of recent scans, brief synopsis of your installed software, any recent events that may have triggered this problem, how do you connect to the 'net, etc...

    Here's a quickie: right-click the icon, select Properties, and see if you can find the icon's parent folder...

    As a follow-up: I see that you've been having some trojan issues...I'd strongly suggest that you follow the procedures listed in the Malware forum for thoroughly cleaning your machine, as the unwanted planting of the 'Spigot' icon falls under the definition of malware activities...
