Ok, so I just bought an Audigy 2 soundcard and the Logitech Z-5500 speaker set. they get here tomorrow or friday. Super stoked. but what I'm curious to, is what do I need, and how would I go about splitting the connection to both my PS2 AND my computer?

You can go to any video game shop and get one of the small
video/audio splitter boxes. Usually it's one or two sets in
and up to 5 sets out. They have video, svhs, and left right audio
for each channel. The boxes cost between 15 and 25 bucks and
work quite well. You just plug the PS2 and your computer outs
into the box. Then you press the button of which of those two
will feed the speaker outs that lead to your Logitechs.
The boxes are just analog, and don't require power, and don't harm
the signal in any way that you will hear.

I should clarify something. I just looked at my Recoton SVS1000,
and I said the above a little bit backwards.... It's 4 channels in and
one or two out, which is better for your needs. In other words:
You can have four different units share one set of speakers.
(or share two sets of speakers, on the bigger units)
    I hope that helped.
