Splitting mp3 files

Hi,

I'm trying to use mp3 direct cut and it's a pain.

I'm just trying to cut out a song in the middle of a long mp3. I was able to do it once, but it took way too long, and it was kind of an accident, because I can't figure out how to do it again.

Is anybody familiar with this software, or know of a different freeware mp3 splitter that doesn't require converting to WAV?

And I don't need a link to Audacity or Wavepad, unless they allow you to work directly with mp3s, which I don't think they do, but I'm not positive. Thanks.

 

do you have Nero?. If you use nero express it will split audio files, the help files tell you how to do it
