this is supposed to be a "do everything - majic bullet" for troubleshooting and repair of computer problems. If this s/w does everything it claims to do, its the bargain of a lifetime for 49 bucks. Anyone out there in cyberland ever used this product. is it as good as the webpage claims ? i'd consider my self to be at about intermediate level as far as pc expertise ( by no means a guru) and just wanted to be sure its not "over my head" looked at some post from last year on this forum and was hoping there would be some updated info or feedback regarding this product

Well, this one is free http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/index.html
so if it doesn't work as expected, you are only out the cost of the CD that you've burned. Scroll down to see the list of all the things that are on the CD you burn.

I've installed Spotmau Powersuite 2009 complete with key and it seems to be a very useful app. However, in order to recover your Administrator password (if lost or can't remember), you have to boot the computer up with the disc. It works, I haven't found anything negative about it except the fact that when I try to update it, it can't find the site.

The main problem with the version I had a few years ago was that you had no way to do the two most useful things on a non booting pc.

    1) run check disk or similar on the drive.

    2) access the files to copy data / replace corrupt ones.

Whilst password recovery was good (not perfect or even as good as say the Trinity Rescue Disk), the partition copier took ages and bombed out if there were too many errors on the partition.

For a specific PC these people do a reasonable (paid for) job. they also include drivers, without which Windows recovery is useless.
