spy sweep problems

my spy sweeper has been showing the same news page for the past week and a half. even after clicking on "update news," it still shows the same news. is there something wrong? also, before, spy sweeper would always detect something, and wildmedia was detected in every scan i performed. however, now it doesnt detect it or anything else, and im pretty sure it's unusual because ive seen people complain about this wildmedia garbage in this forum and how difficult it is to get rid of it. any answers, help, or suggestions will be appreciated.

Not necassarily, there may not be any updated news for spysweeper at this time, can you still update the spyware definition files?

Having your anti spyware program showing you have no spy's is more normal than having it highlight you are having a spy problem, I would download Ad Aware and run it to see what that program picks up.

yeah i'm still able to download definition files. i have ad-aware personal SE, and it detected 2 critical items when i performed a smart scan. i also ran spybot, and it detected 3 entries while spy sweeper didn't detect any. one of those entries was CoolWWWSearch, and i am sure that CoolWWWSearch is one of spy sweeper's definition files since i have seen it detect it in the past.
