I just bought Webroot Spysweeper, and I have a couple of questions:

    1) does it cover Firefox, or IE only? I read the FAQ and the online manual, and only IE is mentioned. I use firefox only.

    2) What alternative program would you recommend in the event only IE is covered?

    Thank you in advance

    Enrico

    Hi

Spysweeper protects your computer. It doesn't matter which browser you use. It has a couple of shields that do cover IE such as Homepage protection and protection against BHO (browser helper objects). The rest are for your entire computer. Make sure you enable all the shields. I used to use it on my laptop and still do on my desktop the kids use. I personally think it's a great antispyware program.

    :) No problem.

Just on a sidenote, I never used the email protection for it since I use my AV for that. If your antivirus already does that, you may want to consider not using Spysweeper for that.

Well, I am using Avira free as an AV, and the free version doesn't come with e- mail protection, so I'll use webroot's, thanks again for pointing that out ;)
