SpyBot S&D Download help, PLEASE

I have repeatedly tried to download the latest version of Spybot S&D without ANY SUCCESS...not from Major Geeks or Kolla's website or any other mirrors I have tried.... I keep getting a serber timed out message. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions. Please LET ME KNOW. Thanks!

 

If you have a very slow connection (56K) then I would suggest you try using Flashget 1.73. If it times out again then just restart it from within flashget program. It would be a good idea to get it from here or from the Safer-Networking.org website (SpyBots site) to be sure you start from a place that will allow you to restart a partial download. When you go to the flashget site (you should go there for the download) choose the classic 1.73 version over the newer ones, its more secure and simpler to install.

 

What is your internet connection speed? Also, are you on dialup, wireless, satellite, DSL, or cable?

I always use the MG TX mirror for MG downloads, and never have a problem. I did have issues downloading from the FL mirror (which is why I switched to the TX server). I'm downloading the program now, and I'll let you know if I encounter a problem.

 

Definitely use a download manager then. I use DAP personally, though Flashget is good as well. Download managers allow you to resume the download in the event that the connection times out, etc.

 

In Firefox 3 yes... earlier versions no.
