SpyBot S+D

Hello
I know this used to be a great program. Is it worth putting 25 MB in my pc, i.e., is it still worth it.
I hope someone who has experience with it will comment.

If you are referring to running it as a periodic malware/spyware checker, no. It has fallen behind significantly in recent years as it has become slower and more bloated. Malwarebytes is a far better option in my opinion. I'd also recommend Spyware Blaster as another peace-of-mind solution, running inconjunction with Malwarebytes.

 

I have Spyware Blaster and MBAM with Defender and the Win 8 firewall; this is all behind my router.
Thank you for your opinion about SpyBot S+D. It is what I have been reading. Adware -SE also reads the same.
I guess the older standbys are fading by not digging in.

Malwarebytes +1 on my list pro version of corse.

AVG 2013 Pro version with firewall included.

CCleaner of corse

Advanced SystemCare 6

Smart Defrag 2

SAS ant too bad

Spyware Blaster not bad

Spy bot would not even bother with it far to old and out-dated scans to slow.

 

I am keeping the 3rd parties to a minimum as I had issues a while ago.
